Business Development Executive


We are seeking highly professional, experienced business-to-business sales performers, who are self-motivated and excel at high-activity, consultative inside selling. We invite you to join our dynamic Business Development team in midtown Manhattan in New York City.

Job Responsibilities

Generate new clients primarily through consultative telephone selling.
  • Develop strong company and product knowledge base.
  • Work closely with Industry Analyst and Research teams to refine sales strategies to maximize selling opportunities.
  • Maintain a lead/prospect database through timely updating.
  • Implement sales strategies and call prioritization to qualify prospects and achieve sales goals.
  • Conduct web-based software as solution demonstrations for qualified prospects.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • 3+ years of recent experience as Sales Representative (or equivalent New Business Development role) conducting inside, consultative sales.
  • 3+ year track record of aggressively driving new business to consistently exceed sales quotas.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, written, and verbal skills, including demonstrated high-volume, cold-call sales ability with senior managers and other corporate decision-makers.
  • Must be assertive, energetic, and persistent.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience identifying, researching, and qualifying corporate decision-makers for sophisticated products/services.
  • Prior commercial credit/risk management solutions sales experience. Experience with D&B, Experian Business, Moody's, S&P, Bloomberg, and/or Lexis Nexis a plus.
  • Knowledge of financial and business information services, web-based software, business credit analysis and scoring, and customer processes, including risk management and purchasing/procurement.
  • Well-organized with strong time-management skills.
  • CRM systems experience, plus demonstrated Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills.

Client Service Advisor


We are seeking highly professional, experienced Client Service Advisors, with consultative inside client sales experience. We invite you to join our Client Service team in midtown Manhattan in New York City.

Responsibilities

Provide world-class service to corporate clients by deepening, broadening, and strengthening existing relationships, while resolving customer questions and issues. Address product usage inquiries and provide consultative support and recommendations to help clients succeed with their diverse risk management efforts.
  • Develop strong company, product, and client knowledge base.
  • Manage inbound client email and telephone inquiries to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction by providing quality issue resolution.
  • Conduct web-based capabilities demonstrations and training.
  • Conduct outbound client-contact programs and identify opportunities to deepen and broaden client relationships – including recommending and selling product and service upgrades best suited for their needs.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to increase client retention, engagement, and satisfaction through expanded use of our products and services.
  • Maintain CRM system through timely updating.
  • Work closely with Industry Analysts, Research, Marketing, and Sales team members to escalate product and technical concerns to meet clients’ needs and support business success.
  • Work closely with management to provide specific, actionable feedback to continuously improve the client experience, prevent/resolve issues, and develop opportunities for relationship expansion.
  • Work on projects to improve Client Service team operations and productivity.
  • Proactively adapt to business’ evolving, dynamic needs.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of recent experience as Client Service Advisor, Account Executive/Manager, or equivalent account management role serving corporate clients.
  • Track record of strong customer focus and passion for helping customers succeed.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills, including demonstrated outbound customer calling experience.
  • Prefer experience working with financial or business information and web-based services.
  • Prefer CRM systems experience, plus demonstrated Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to manage wide variety of client situations, competing priorities, and multitasking.
  • Well-organized, ability to prioritize, with strong time-management skills.

Industry Analyst


We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our corporate credit research group as an Industry Analyst. This is an outstanding opportunity to have an immediate and meaningful impact while gaining invaluable exposure to the retail industry. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the investigative curiosity to deliver insightful, actionable information to companies across the supply chain.

Position Summary

The Industry Analyst will contribute to the research, writing, and presentation of in-depth company and industry-specific reports within designated industry groups. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for completing written financial reviews and industry research, and understanding and presenting the credit risks and trends for specific companies and industry sectors. In addition, this individual will compile and analyze quantitative and qualitative data, as well as prepare and present to clients information on an as-needed basis. Very strong financial, analytical, and writing skills are required, as is the ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects. Timeliness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial. While not required, analytical experience within the retail industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in depth analysis of companies and credit trends within designated industries.
  • Interview senior management to obtain company and industry information.
  • Be responsible for meeting specific deadlines.
  • Support research team on an ad hoc basis for special projects and client needs.
  • Prepare and perform industry presentations to clients and industry groups.
  • Contact and respond to client inquiries and occasional prospect opportunities

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree; advanced degree a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial statement analysis.
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Strong desire to learn and be attentive to detail.
  • Capacity to quickly assimilate significant volumes of information.
  • Superior quantitative, analytical, and communication skills required. Principal products are written reports (writing sample required).
  • Experience reading and analyzing regulatory filings (e.g., SEC 8K, 10Q, & 10K filings).
  • Understanding of corporate bankruptcy process.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong inter-personal, listening, written, and verbal skills.
  • Must be assertive, energetic, persistent, and able to interact with all levels of client management.
  • Knowledge of web-based information services, financial software, credit analysis and scoring, and client processes, including credit management and purchasing/procurement.
  • Strong computer and internet skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
